Rumital d.o.o. is based in Zagreb, at 31a Črnomerec Street. It was registered in May 2002 as a trade and services company and is currently involved in humanitarian mine clearance. The company owners and founders are the Crnjac family – the retired general of the Croatian Army Miljenko Crnjac and his wife Ružica. Since August 1, 2002 Rumital d.o.o. had been involved in humanitarian demining on different configuration terrains and in different climates by applying the manual detection method (metal detectors, prodders).

As of July 2003 we have been employing the combined detection method (machine clearance, deminers or dogs working the area already cleared by the machine and deminers in the second method). The company has provided services in all conditions and areas of Croatia, in the flatlands, on the rocky terrain and in the mountains and also in Iraq, Kurdistan region. We have had experience with all types of landmines: antitank, antipersonnel, unexploded ordnance (grenades, artillery shells, rifle grenades). Until 2009, there has never been an accident (either with lethal outcome or someone lightly or severely injured) and the company has never been forced to repeat its work on a site due to defective or badly organized activity. The company employs between 30 and 40 people who are mainly demobilized veterans of the Croatian Homeland War. All activities on the field are organized by a field manager who is also a project manager. Apart from the deminers, the company also employs machine drivers, dog trainers, a sanitation team (a doctor, a nurse and a driver), a general manager, a logistician and an office manager. The majority of the company's deminers gained their experience during the Homeland War and in landmine clearance operations after the war so that the team leaders have more than 10 years of experience in the field. All deminers and other employees have been educated and certified for their part of the mine clearance activities. The company has been certified according to international demining standards and is attested for demining activities by the Croatian Mine Action Center. The company is ISO 9001:2000 certified as well. Our employees are educated for detonating mines while demining.
