Landmines in the Republic of Croatia raise development, security and ecological issues which may be viewed as limiting to the reconstruction of normal life and development. The most important government authorities - the Croatian Parliament and the Government of the Republic of Croatia have been actively involved in resolving these issues. Ever since the beginning of the anti-mine activities many demining companies have been set up in the country.

The company, Rumital d.o.o. has been involved in mine clearance on different configuration terrains and in different climate conditions since August 1, 2002. Until 2009, the company has cleared more than 14,000,000 m² of landmine contaminated surface. Grew up to one of the top-quality companies involved in humanitarian mine clearance in the Republic of Croatia. Such results could have only be achieved by continuously investing in employees and increasing the quality level of their professional abilities, knowledge and working conditions. During the mine clearance process we have gained important experience, which could be used to resolve the landmine issue in other countries as well.
